Senior Sales Manager – Defence

As Senior Sales Manager in the defence environment, you take on a key role in the strategic growth of the defence business. Depending on your background, your focus is on industry or Bundeswehr and public authorities. You develop sales strategies, identify new business opportunities, and build reliable relationships with decision-makers in the arms industry or in the military and public sector environment.

Your Tasks

  • Take responsibility for sales in the defence area with a focus on industry or Bundeswehr and public authorities.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to unlock new business opportunities.
  • Identify and acquire projects with system integrators, industrial companies, or Bundeswehr and public authority end users.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, in particular with key stakeholders in industry or the public sector.
  • Conduct market analyses and competitive monitoring and identify trends and innovation potential.
  • Present technical capabilities to clients and partners.
  • Prepare proposals and conduct contract negotiations with industrial or public clients.

Required Skills

  • Successfully completed degree, ideally with a technical, business, or military focus.
  • Several years of experience in the defence industry or in the official military environment, for example as an officer or in a comparable position.
  • Sound knowledge of the structures, processes, and decision-making channels in industry or at the Bundeswehr and public authorities, e.g. BAAINBw.
  • Technical understanding of military technologies and their deployment and integration concepts.
  • Experience handling classified information and understanding of classification requirements.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills in an industrial or official environment.
  • Excellent German language skills at C1 level and good English language skills at B2 level.
